Original EXIF, GPS and text metadata are not copied into the new PNG. Visible faces, addresses and other information in the picture remain.

How to remove photo metadata
- Choose a still JPEG, PNG or WebP that meets the size limits.
- Select Create clean PNG. Your browser decodes the picture and makes a new file from its pixels.
- Review the result, then download and share the new PNG.
Your source file stays unchanged. Clear photo releases the tool’s active preview and selected-file references; downloaded files and browser-managed copies are yours to manage.
What does this remove?
Photos can contain EXIF details such as camera information, capture dates and GPS coordinates, as well as text or editing metadata. This tool renders the pixels into a new PNG and retains only the PNG chunks needed for the picture. Original metadata fields are not carried into that output.
It does not inspect or display your location, and it does not claim that a source photo contained GPS data. Removing metadata does not conceal details visible in the image itself.
Does this upload my photo?
No. Selection, decoding, rendering and download happen in this browser. The tool makes no processing request and uses no photo storage or account. Ordinary website delivery and the optional support panel have their own website privacy information.
Before sharing the new file
Check faces, house numbers, documents, reflections and other visible clues. A metadata-cleaned image can still identify a person or place. Sharing services may add their own metadata after you send or upload a copy.
