1. Set your own vault access

Choose a pattern separate from your everyday iPhone passcode. Vaultary combines your gesture with a device-held secret to protect access to the vault’s random encryption key. Retain the separate recovery token before relying on the vault for important files.

2. Add the files you want to protect

Import photos, videos or documents into the vault. File contents, names and the library index are encrypted in local storage. Open imported copies to check them before deciding how to manage source originals in Photos, Files or another app.

Photos · Videos · Documents and notes

3. Browse your own private library

Search by name, filter by file type or browse collections. Open a photograph fullscreen, play a video or find a document without mixing the private library into everyday camera-roll browsing.

4. Lock it—and keep a route back

When the vault locks, access is required again. The interface is covered when the app becomes inactive. For an extra check, choose a manual credential followed by Face ID or Touch ID on supported devices.

Keep an encrypted archive and its recovery token outside the only device they protect. A practice restore with sample files helps you know the way back.
