Respect the protection Apple already provides

Apple’s Locked Notes documentation explains custom passwords, device-passcode access and supported content. Locked notes synchronized through iCloud use end-to-end encryption with either supported credential approach. A reset of a custom Notes password does not unlock notes protected with the previous password.

When a library is easier than individual notes

Personal images, saved clips, multipage files and short notes can be easier to find as one collection with file-type filters. Vaultary is built around that file-library workflow. Open a photo fullscreen, play a video or search the name you assigned to a document.

Explore documents and editable notes and follow the import-to-library flow. Use an appropriate reader or editor for imported document formats.

Keep copies and credentials deliberate

A document in a locked note, an exported PDF and the source email attachment are separate copies. Choose where each belongs and keep recovery material accessible beyond the device it protects. Use replaceable samples to test the move before removing an important original.

Follow a private document through its copies for a practical checklist.
